(ix) What is a supercomputer ? Also give any one of its applications.

(b) What is an experiment ? Describe one experiment from chemistry in support of conservation of mass. 5

3. (a) Explain the theory of spontaneous generation. How did Pasteur disprove this theory experimentally? 5

(b) Give three ways of technology transfer. Explain any one of these using an example.

4. (a) A pond ecosystem is harbouring some green plants, some insects, frogs, fishes and quite a large population of bacteria. Describe the steps of the nitrogen cycle occurring in this ecosystem.

planning ? Why must social objectives be the primary

concern for this ?

of your answer.
