KIIT University (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) is located in an idyllic setting in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orissa, India KIIT was conferred the University status in 2004 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India in recognition of its excellence. The distinction, which made it the youngest ever to achieve it, came only after six years of commencement of undergraduate programmes; thus earning it an entry into the Limca Book of Records on another count. Conferred University status under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India in 2004. Accredited by NAAC of UGC with 'A' Grade (CGPA 3.36), All the technical courses are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
