Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) is situated at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It’s a public university & the university plans to provide access to higher education for large segments of population and in particular, the disadvantaged groups such as those living in remote and rural areas including working people, house wives and other adults who wish to upgrade or acquire knowledge through studies in various fields. There shall be established a University by the name of the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University. he headquarters of the University shall be at Allahabad and it may establish or maintain colleges or study centres at such other places in the State as it may deem fit.
