Announcement for Admissions-2010

Post Graduation Diploma in Petroleum Management for working executives (PGDPM-X) 3rd batch

Features of the PGDPM-X Programme:

  1. Two-year programme divided in eight modules
  2. Each module is completed in one quarter
  3. Four modules in a year
  4. Campus requirement of eight days in each module, followed by distance education for the remaining part of the quarter.
  5. The programme is focussed on Oil & Natural Gas sector

After admitting its first & second PGDPMX batches in session 2008 and 2009 respectively, School of Petroleum Management announces the admission process for the intake of its 3rd Batch (Session 2010) for the two year PGDPM X (Focused on Oil & Gas sector).

The PGDPMX (Focused on Oil & Gas sector) is based on the model of part campus & part off-campus learning model.

Graduates having minimum work-experience of 3 years in Oil & Gas or allied sector are eligible to apply.

Admission shall be offered as per the admission process which evaluates candidate’s understanding about issues of Oil & Gas/Energy/Allied Industry, analytical skills, communication skills and potential to lead.

Executive MBA programme

Features of the Executive MBA Programme:

  1. 15-month programme
  2. Full-time residential programme
  3. 12 months (four quarters) campus requirements, during which 72 credit hours of classroom courses are learned.
  4. 3 months of Internship or Comprehensive Project Work. Internship can be done abroad or in one’s own organisation
  5. Full-time study and stay on campus would provide tremendously rich experience and advantages of lecture series, access to all resources, interaction with academic and industry experts, and mingling with young graduate students
  6. Will seek AICTE approval, though prior approval is not needed
  7. The programme is focussed on Energy sector in general and Oil & Natural Gas sector in particular

Eligibility:

•  An applicant must possess a bachelor degree in any discipline of studies, with a minimum
   of 50 percent or equivalent.

•  An applicant must have a minimum of five years of relevant managerial/supervisor level
   experience after completing bachelor degree.
