The setting up of a separate Department of Biotechnology (DBT), under the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1986 gave a new impetus to the development of the field of modern biology and biotechnology in India.

Requires Managing Director

The Department of Biotechnology urgently requires the services of a suitable candidate for filling up the post of Managing Director in the pay scale of Rs 22400-600-26000 (Pre-revised) in Bharat Immunologicals & Biological Corporation Limited (BIBCOL), Chola, Bulandshahr (UP), a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Department of Biotechnology. The post is to be filled up by the search-cum-selection method.

The eligibility conditions for the post are as under:

(i) Maximum age limit: 55 years

(ii) Qualifications: The applicant should be a Post Graduate, preferably a Ph.D. in Life sciences from a recognized university. Masters Degree in Business Management is desirable.

(iii) Experience: The applicant should have adequate experience at senior level of management in large organizations of repute. Besides, the applicant should have experience in manufacture of Biological/ Bio-Pharmaceu-ticals/ Biotechnology industry experience in vaccine development-

(iv) The appointment shall be for a period of five year.
