Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
The Fellow Programme at IIM Indore is a unique doctoral programme in management. It is designed to provide both breadth and depth of knowledge to doctoral participants in management. The programme has two-fold objective of enabling the participants to master the relevant methodological tools of management research on one hand, and the advancement of the current body of management knowledge on the other. The FPM track offers prospects of a career within academia or in (research) positions outside the academia world. Programme’s rigorous curriculum provides ample training for an academic career and gives participants the opportunity to make an indelible mark on the research activity in their respective field. The programme offers specialization in various areas of management.
ADMISSION
The FPM seeks high quality candidates with strong academic background, preferably with professional experience, and intellectual curiosity needed for scholarship in management.
Eligibility
Candidates should have:
A Master’s degree* in any discipline, with at lease 55 per cent marks (High second class) and at least 50% marks at Bachelor’s degree level. OR A Bachelor’s degree** with complete professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55 percent marks and with minimum of two years post-qualification work experience. OR A B.E./B.Tech. Degree with at least 60 per cent marks with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification work experience.
Those appearing for the final year Master’s degree* examination or its equivalent may also apply, subject to completion of all the requirements before the registration date, i.e. end- June of the current year.

Procedure
Applications for admission to the FPM are invited at the same time when the advertisement of Common Admission Test [CAT] is released. Applicants can choose upto three areas of specialization while applying. Application should be submitted on a prescribed application form available from FPM office by a specified date along with a demand draft of Rs 300/ -
Following categories of candidates are considered for admission:
Candidates having a CAT/GMAT score (valid for all areas)
Candidates having GRE/GATE score (valid for selected areas)
Candidates having qualified UGC/CSIR JRF Research test
Candidates not having any score may appear for a Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to be conducted by the institute on a pre announced date.
Lecturers working in AICTE/UGC recognized university and colleges on a full time basis for a minimum period of three years in management related areas.
IIM Indore provides a unique opportunity to lecturers working as regu lar full-time faculty in any business schools/colleges recognized by AICTE/UGC for a period of at least 3 years as on 31st March 2010 to pu rsue P.h.D. For details see the website.
FIRST YEAR WAIVER: The institute considers granting of waiver of the requirement of first year courses in case a candidate has done his/her MBA/PGP/EPGP or equivalent courses from recognized university/business school/inshtution subject to certain conditions.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
FPM at IIMI provides financial support to its doctoral students. The FPM participants get a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000/- per month in the first and the second year, Rs. 20,000/- p.m. in the third and the fourth year. The FPM participants will be entitled to the stipend for a maximum period of four years. A contingency grant of Rs. 25,000 per annum to cover research expenses, and books and stationery allowance is available to all FPM participants during the first four years of the programme. No tuition fees shall be charged and free boarding and lodging will be provided for the first four years of the FPM programme with a maximum of two extensions of six months each.
