Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Jaipur is situated at Malviya Industrial Area in Jaipur (also popularly known as the Pink City) of the state Rajasthan. The Birla Institute of Technology, Extension Centre, Jaipur was started in 1995 in the sprawling campus of the reputed Birla Institute of Scientific Research (BISR).

The campus started by offering PG level programmes in computer science and computer applications. Since than the range of programmes as well as the facilities have expanded to offer a wide range of academic programmes both UG & PG level. The Jaipur Campus functions under the academic guidance of the parent University at Mesra, Ranchi in terms of the academic curriculum, calendar as well as the semester examinations. There is no hostel facility at this institute and therefore one has to be prepared for PG / rented accommodation.

        * M.Sc. in Bioinformatics
        * M.Sc. in Geoinformatics

Admission:

Admission to the BE Programme is through the AIEEE Exam but the forms are separate which have to be got from the Jaipur Campus. The selection is based upon the Marks in Class XII and the AIEEE rank independent of the main Institute.
