Birla Institute of Technology, Kolkata is located in the southern part of the city and is well connected with the rest of Kolkata. The Birla Institute of Technology of Extension Centre, Kolkata was established in 1995. The premises of the Centre includes a computer laboratory with a server room, several lecture rooms, a seminar hall, and a library. Students have free access to online journals through ACM, AIEEE and Emerald-online. The whole Centre is networked and internet facilities are provided through a 128 kbit/s leased line.
