The Jaipur Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (JIILM) has been setup by Ram Kishan and Sons, a charitable Trust functioning as a philanthropic arm of the Group USHA, a 2.00 billion dollar conglomerate - ranked 6th business house in India. The Trust established first management institute in October 1993 at Lodhi Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, with a mandate to provide management education of the highest order. It was named as the Institute for Integrated learning in Management (IILM). The programmes designed by the IILM integrate classroom exercises with industrial and business settings. The attempt has been to bridge the gap that most professionally trained managers find between theory and practice. IILM's mission is to contribute towards developing managers with a global perspective and an adaptive mode of functioning. It hopes to achieve this through integrated learning, practice and reality-oriented systematic approach to the application of knowledge.

JIILM aims at providing highest quality education for business and academic leaders, and promoting the understanding and practice of management through research. Group USHA has also set-up three more management institutes, one at Waterloo Street, Calcutta, in 1995, called EIILM (Eastern Institute for Integrated learning in Management) another at Bellapur, Navi Mumbai, in 1996 named WIILM (Western Institute for Integrated learning in Management) and the third one at Badarpur-New Delhi in 1996 called NIILM (Northern Institute for Integrated learning in Management). Encouraged by positive response, the Trust is setting up three more IILMs during 2000-2002. The first one being JIILM, second at Lucknow and third one at Katmandu.
