Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) University located in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, India is a Deemed University offering programs in technical education at Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate level. Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (JSS), a not-for-profit division of the Jaypee Group, City at NOIDA and is at a distance of 3 km from the New Delhi – UP border. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) was the first amongst three Institutes of higher technical education, raised by the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (JSS). JIIT dedicated to excellence in education, has been envisioned by its founder Chancellor Shri Jaiprakash Gaur Ji as a vehicle of enlightenment and empowerment of youth in India. The Institute has defined new innovative programs of learning to produce human resource capable of identifying, analyzing and solving problems.

The state-of-the-art campus was built at a total project cost of Rs 75 crores (Rs 750,000,000), with a total built up area of over 650,000 sq.ft (60,000 m²) comprising of buildings with internet connectivity (air-conditioned Academic Block, and environmentally conditioned Faculty Residences, Student Hostels and Annapurna (the college mess)), well-equipped modern laboratories as well as the library (Learning Resource Centre-LRC).

JIIT NOIDA boasts of excellent sports facilities for fulfilling the needs of its students. At present we have 2 badminton courts, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court and 2 volley ball courts. The Institute has a separate canteen, Annapurna, and cafeteria for providing hygienic and quality food for all the students and faculty members. Tuck Shop is a general store within the campus.

Learning Resource Centre:

Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is a back bone of academic and research activities of the Institute and has been catering to the information needs of the faculty members, students, staff, and research scholars. It has around 24050 volumes of books and more then 4000 e-journals which are covering the disciplines of Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics and Materials Science, Humanities, Management and other areas related to Engineering, Science and Technology.

The library is linked with DELNET (Developing Library Network), the users of LRC enjoy the access of reading materials through this network also. The library subscribes to journals of national and international repute. LRC users can access online journals of IEEE, ACM, Engineering Village and Springer through the consortium, INDEST. The library is fully classified and catalogued and users can search for information at their own. LRC users know the availability status of the books and other materials through the Public Access Catalogue.

Admission:

The admissions to the above programs are made on the basis of merit in all India overall AIEEE Rank .Candidates must therefore appear in the AIEEE examination conducted by the CBSE. Further, the candidates must fill in separate application form for admission for which instructions shall be available along with the application forms or uploaded on the website. A candidate appearing for AIEEE but not applying to the institutes on the prescribed Application Form shall not be eligible to be considered for admission in the above programs. Forms are generally made available at Selected Branches of nominated banks as given in the advertisement and loaded on web site. Last date of submission of forms is specified in the advertisement, which generally is one day prior to the conduct of AIEEE exam.

Lab Facility

There are four computer labs equipped with latest technology hardware and software. Other labs are Biotechnology Lab (9000 sq mt), Analog & Digital Communication Lab , Instrumentation Lab, Machine Lab, Control systems lab, Electronic Design lab (uses MATLAB and VHDL), Microprocessor Lab (equipped with Intel 8085,8086 and 8051 kits helps the students to develop the necessary confidence in Assembly Language programming ) and a well equipped physics lab. The M.Tech labs are equipped with state of the art facilities like LAN Trainer, CDMA Trainer, Antenna Trainer, Mobile Communication Trainer etc.

JIITU Youth Club (JYC):

The student body called the JIITU Youth Club, also referred as JYC, is the sole student body of the University. Various intra and inter college events are organized by it. The annual festival "JIVE", which is completely coordinated by the youth club and supported by the institute is recognized as one of the best inter-collegiate festivals in the National Capital Region(NCR) and Northern India. This is achieved through annual cultural, technical fests, various events, parties, treks, outings and other spontaneous activities to maintain high levels of enthusiasm and team integration. Focusing on technical, literary, sports, and cultural competitive activities, apart from serving as a retreat from intense academic loads, these extracurricular activities presents with an opportunity this builds confidence, encourages teamwork and gives students a strong sense of achievement and belonging.
